英語でアニメを見て勉強することのメリットとデメリット、おすすめ利用法
この1年間、セーラームーン（無印）全46話をリスニングの勉強代わりに英語で聞きまくったので、実際に英語でアニメを見て、私が感じたメリットデメリットについて包み隠さずお話しようと思います。
メリット
まずは私が感じたメリットをお話しします。
とにかく自然に英語に触れる機会を増やせる
セーラームーンを見るのがとても楽しくて、勉強するというよりも、アニメを見
ようという感覚で英語に触れられるので自然に英語と関わる時間を増やせました。
英語脳に近づく
英語脳とは、英語を英語のまま理解できることですが、何度も何度も同じセリフ
を英語で聞いていると、日本語訳せずそのまま理解できるようになります。ただ、
注意点としてただ聞いているだけでは全然ダメで、わからない単語はすべて調べ、
使われている文法も完全に把握しておく必要があります。あと発音も調べて、自分で真似するととても良いです。
キャラの真似をするので、楽しいです。
発音への興味がわいた。
英語全般に対する関心が高まりました。具体例として発音を上げていますが、セ
ーラームーンを聞くまでは発音の勉強など一切興味なかったのですが、彼女らの
話す言葉が書いている英文と全然違う（省略とか、音のつながりとか）ときが多
々あって、「なんでこんな発音になるんだ？」 という疑問から発音の勉強につ
ながりました。他にも「このシチュエーションでこの単語使うのおかしくない？」
という疑問から、その単語の使い方には単語帳で載っていない意味を含んでい
ることがわかったり、ネイティブならおそらく当たり前に使う独特なフレーズも
頻繁に出てくるので、セーラームーンを見ることで、そういう英語全般の関心が
上がりました。
ネイティブフレーズが自然に身につく
これはどういうことかと言うと、普通の単語帳にはあまり載っていないけれど、ネイティブがよく使うフレーズが頻繁に出てくるので、勝手に覚えるということです。
例えば、
I mean~
Oh boy
Oh, brother
I got it!
とかですね。
デメリット
次にデメリットをお話しします。
正直デメリットはあまりありません。が、強いて挙げるなら次の二つくらいでしょうか。
資格試験や大学入試には直結しない。
私は元々、「TOEICの点数が上がるかな～」と思って、この学習を始めたのです
が、それはありませんでした。いや、正直に言えば、多少は上がりました（
TOEICのパート２とかはかなり聞き取れるようになった）が、学習時間に対する
効果を考えるとほとんど意味がないと言えます。たぶん、アニメで英語を見るこ
とは英語力の基礎の基礎は上がるんだろうけど、資格試験とかでいい結果を取り
たいなら、その専用の勉強もする必要があります。ただ、アニメで英語を聞きま
くったおかげなのか、英語の勉強効率はかなり上がりました。これはメリットで
も書いた英語脳ができたからだと思います。
ネイティブの文化を知らないと意味不明なシーンがある
当然ですが、アニメの原作は日本で作られたものなので、描写は変わりません。
しかし、セリフは変わります。すると、「なんで今言ったこのセリフで、こうい
う反応になるんだろう...」と言ったことがたまにあります。この時、日本語音
声に切り替えて聞いてみるのですが、日本語音声と英語音声では全然セリフが違
っており、結局よくわからないまま終わることになります。数は多くはないんで
すが、結構ストレスです。最近はChatGPTというサイトをうまく利用すればたい
ていのことはわかって、解決するのですが、やはり完全に理解することはできま
せん。これはネイティブと日本人の文化の違いから来ているのではないかと思い
ます。
おススメ利用法
次におススメ利用法について書きます。
１回目
まず普通に英語音声、字幕なしで１話見ます。
２回目
１回目でストーリーはだいたい把握できる（何を言っているのか全く分からなくても、状況でだいたい察せる）ので、2回目は聞き取りに全集中します。
1回目と同じように見て、①聞き取れないところがあったら、②巻き戻して何度も聞きます。何度聞いてもわからないようになったら、③ＣＣ字幕を付けて、文字で把握します。
④文字で見てなぜわからなかったのか把握します。
単語がわからなかったのか、文法が不明だったのか、発音が意味不明だったのか、だいたいこの3つのうちのどれかです。
⑤わからない原因を突き止めて、調べて、解決します。
再びアニメを見ます。以上①～⑤を繰り返します。
１話についてなんとなくすべての意味がわかるようになったら、次の話に進みましょう。
完璧にする必要はないです。いくら面白いストーリーでも、5回も6回も見ると飽きるからです。
全話見た後に、再度1話から見ましょう。１回目に見た時より格段に聞き取れるはずです。しかしそれでも完ぺきではないし、忘れている語彙もあるので、再び①～⑤を繰り返します。
続けるコツはとにかく楽しむことです。飽きたら別のアニメにしてもいいと思います。
勉強するというようなマインドでやるのではなくて、ただただ楽しむというマインドでやるのがいいと思います。
私は今、セーラームーンRを見ています。
はじめは英語の勉強のために見始めたセーラームーンでしたが、めちゃめちゃ面白くて、今では英語の勉強よりむしろ、セーラームーンの面白さにハマっております。

My cuckoo clock tells me it's seven a.m. Then I hear my mom say, "C'mon sleepy head, time to get up or you'll be late!"
But it's so hard to wake up. So I think to myself, "Just three more minutes and I'll get out of bed."
Of course, I'm late for school every day. Ms. Haruna make me stand out in the hall.
And all my tests are covered with red marks.
On our way home from school, we all stop for some crepes, then go check out the party dress on display in the store window.
It's those simple things that made my life so happy and fun.
I wish...
... I wish could go back... ...to being just a normal girl.

Art: It's a miracle! Not only did the dark spots on the sun disappear, but all of the girls have been reincarnated.
L: It's sad. I feel sorry for them. Every single memory they had of being together is completely gone now.

2022年10月から見始めて、ようやく見終わりました。
最終回は衝撃的な展開だったけど、ハッピーエンドになってよかったです。
次回予告（セーラームーンR）が流れましたが、失った記憶が復活するんでしょうか？
無印を見てセーラームーンにドはまりしたので、Rも買って視聴してみようと思います。

セーラーガーディアンズが一人ずつ死んでいくという衝撃的な展開になってしまいました。というかDDガールズ強すぎでは？
ネフライトが死んだときと同じくらい重いエピソードでしたね。
あと1話で最終回なんですが、これどんな終わり方をするんだろう？
というか、エピソード21では最終回にセーラーVを殺すのだうんぬんの話をしていましたが、それと同じ展開になってしまうとは...高度な伏線回収ですね

Soon after that... I somehow found myself at a crime scene.
